Alumni Spotlight: Jack Eiteljorge
The 9 Year Greyhound
A familiar name to Carmel Wrestling, Jack Eiteljorge has been around the sport of wrestling for a majority of his life and he chose to cultivate and refine his talents in the Carmel Wrestling system. Proving to be a high caliber athlete at Carmel High School, he won a IHSAA 3rd Place Medal, 3 Sectional and Regional Titles, a MIC Conference Title, and 3 County Titles during his tenure at Carmel.
After graduating high school, Jack went on to finish his undergrad studying Supply Chain Management at the University of Indianapolis, where he continued to compete as a Greyhound under different colors. At the college level, Jack has racked up some impressive accomplishments. He is a 2x placer -4th, 6th- at the Midwest Classic, 2x Super Regional Champion, became a NWCA All-American as a Redshirt Freshman, and qualified for the NCAA DII National Championship twice, a tough task for even the strongest competitors.
But Jacks success extends beyond wrestling. He is shown that he is also a dedicated scholar, having been named NWCA Academic All-American three times and appearing on the Deans List on a regular basis. He is currently working on securing his MBA in Organizational Leadership, preparing him to fight new battles in the business world after wrestling.
Today, Jack is ranked fifth in NCAA DII, and is poised to finish his Senior season strong. Carmel Wrestling is happy to have been able to play a part in the development of a well rounded man like Jack, and continue to provide an environment for athletes to grow and improve. With the tools Jack has built throughout his academic and wrestling career, he is one to look out for when he gets unleashed on the business world.
